NPC Energy Services Provides EPM and 70E Compliance Solutions for Ted Stevens Anchorage Int’l Airport
NPC Energy Services recently completed Phase 1 and is underway with Phase 2 implementation of an EPM and NFPA 70E Compliance Program at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.
Accommodating more than 5 million travelers annually, and as the 5th busiest air cargo hub in the world behind only Hong Kong, Memphis, Shanghai, and Seoul, TSAIA is an economic engine for Alaska.
Keith Haakenson, maintenance sales representative for NPCES has been working with TSAIA facility management to design and implement an EPM and NFPA 70E compliance program. The scope of work includes energized and de-energized testing and documentation of the electrical distribution systems serving the terminals and the airfield, correction of deficiencies discovered during that testing, incident energy analysis and arc flash hazard assessment, training for airport maintenance personnel, and scheduled EPM.
NPCES will also provide arc flash incident energy and load flow analysis on this complex project, and will develop cost effective engineered solutions to mitigate and control arc flash hazards in areas where dangerous incident energy levels are present, streamlining operations and maintenance for airport personnel.
ANC Runway 7L /25R Rehabilitation
This project will rehabilitate Runway 7L / 25R at TSAIA to accommodate Design Group VI aircraft. Improvements include replacing and upgrading airfield lighting and signage in an active AOA in phases over two years, with a total contract cost of nearly $50 million.
